Meet Your Neighbor – Allen Carlisle

Santee Lakes

This evening (Thursday, February 19) the Santee Library is holding its regular “Meet Your Neighbor” speaker series.  This month our neighbor is Allen Carlisle, Santee Lakes Park and Recreation Manager.  He is going to be talking about proposed developments at the Lakes and how they might impact the neighborhood.  This is a great opportunity to get more info about the Lakes and what is planned, as well as a chance to share your thoughts on the Lakes.

A side note: Santee Lakes will be the site next week (Wednesday, February 25) for a “Flip the Switch” ceremony to inaugurate a new solar energy system.  I’ll have more information on this soon.

Crime Watch – Child Molestation Update

New Suspect in Child Molestation Case

New Suspect in Child Molestation Case

On Wednesday police issued an update on the child molestation/child pornography case I posted earlier.  There is a new suspect being sought – a second babysitter who may have also provided children to Jared Yaffe for molestation/pornography purposes.  He is known only by the name “Nick” and is possibly around 18 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and with a slim build.  Meanwhile, Jared Yaffe is still at large.  If you have any information about Yaffe or “Nick” please contact San Diego Police or CrimeStoppers.
